Dawn Beaudry and Louis Brunelle (the “Teachers”) have been charged with professional misconduct relating to events alleged to have occurred between 1989 — 2013 and 1989-2001, respectively. The matter is being heard by the Discipline Committee (the “Discipline Committee”) established by The Registered Teachers Act (the “Act”). In advance of a hearing on the charges, the Teachers raised a preliminary objection pursuant to Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (the “SPTRB”) Regulatory Bylaw 1.07(5) regarding the Discipline Committee’s jurisdiction to hear and determine the charges. What follows is the Discipline Committee’s decision on that objection.

Trial for former private Saskatoon Christian school administrator rescheduled, again

The trial for one of the former administrators charged with assaulting students at a private Christian school in Saskatoon has been adjourned, again.

Ken Schultz is charged with assault with a weapon for allegedly striking students with a wooden paddle at Christian Centre Academy in the early 2000s. He is also charged with sexual assault.
